The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) has just released the 8th edition of Knocking at the College Door, a set of projections of high school graduate rates and the implications of such rates for college enrollment through the year 2027-2028.
The report predicts that, nationally, high school classes may have reached their peak numbers in 2011 and will taper off, while the racial and ethnic diversity of each graduating class is predicted to increase.
In addition to its national forecast, the report also contains a state by state and regional breakdown of trends and predictions.
