The Brunei government has introduced a new incentive scheme to boost research activities and develop Research ane Development capabilities in country by setting a fund to finance research projects by both local and foreign companies. The government has earmarked up to $5 million per project.  Brunei Research Incentives Scheme offers incentives for companies to establish research facilities in Brunei Darussalam in five clusters, namely energy, environment, health care/health sciences, food security and ICT.
