Daffodil International University launched Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development Program for the first time in Bangladesh. Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology has received approval as Cisco Authorised Local Academy for offering Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) course. Students with a minimum degree of H.S.C or students studying a Diploma in computers can apply for CCNA course under Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology.

Dhaka University is now offering Diploma in Population Sciences. Now-a-days the multidisciplinary approach to Population Sciences has gained increasing practical relevance in recent times. For Bangladesh, although many challenges remain, successive successes in several populations related programmes have brought international laurels and attention over the past few years. Developments and challenges in the population field have increased the need for professionals who can critically analyse population issues and manage various population related programs.
Responding to this need, Dhaka University introduced this programme with concentration in areas like demographic analysis, population studies, population and communication, population and sustainable development, reproductive health; policy, program and management, and gender issues.
While the programme is relatively new, Dhaka University is encouraged by the prospects which lie ahead.
