On 13th October, the Ministry of Education (MOE) published a list of majors with low employment rates upon graduation. These include music, social science, law, public business management, application of physics, journalism, international economy and trade, acting, industrial and commercial management, and Beijing economics. The majors with the lowest employment rates in the whole of China are: Nutrition and Food Hygiene, bio-science, tourism management, social sports direction and management, marketing promotion, animation, IPR, Writing and Directing of Broadcasting and TV, acting, art design, Broadcasting and Hosting Art, musical performance, e-commerce, trade and economy, and public business management. Foreign universities may want to take these statistics under consideration when promoting their programmes to Chinese students.
