Ministry of Higher Education in Oman (MoHE) released the updated list of approved, not approved universities and academic programmes across the world on Monday 15 August 2016.

Approved

The Committee on non-Omani Higher Education Institution Recognition and Academic Degree Equivalence announced that it has approved the NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands with the clause that the students applying should take up full time courses. Other institutions that have been approved with this clause include the Antwerp Management School and the Nitte University.

The committee has also stressed that the Master’s in Law (LLM) programmes at the US universities is approved, provided students opt for full time enrolment at the university and complete minimum 30 credit hours between study and research.

Not approved

The committee has rejected several applications to accredit and recognise qualifications like the Master’s Degree in MBA (2015) from the Omdurman Islamic University of Sudan.
