On the occasion of International Nurses Day, the president of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee insisted on the importance of healthcare in India and the need for capacity building. The president has asked the ministry of health and family welfare to increase its involvement in developing nursing courses in the education policy development.
The future plan is to involve the nurses in planning, implementation, research and evaluation of patient care. The health minister also showed his determination in making improvements in nursing and midwifery education and services in India.
With the new vision from the president and health minister, this could be a great opportunity for UK institutions to partner with local Indian institutions offering Nursing courses. SIEM India will be pleased to assist with bespoke consultancy services to help UK institutions find the right partner for collaboration/partnership.
