Kerala stresses on online education mode in a post Covid-19 world

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has forced the Indian education system to turn online, be it schools or universities. Kerala is all set to embrace online tools as a regular mode of education delivery even after the pandemic is over. A post Covid-19 higher education policy draft has already been approved by the Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) which emphasises wider use of online instructional mode.

The policy states that webinar and teleconferencing are soon to become regular practice. It also envisages the need for considerable investment on technological infrastructure. Expected challenges are to design suitable online training programmes and sensitising the teaching community to the need for adopting such techniques.
