The university will be the second public university in the state of Kuwait and will include colleges of Engineering, Management, Physical Education, Arts, Music, E-Learning, Technology and Basic Education. The capacity of the university is around 25,000, but its initial intake will be around 7,500 students for the first year of operation. The first college which will commence operations in September is the College of Basic Education.
