NASSCOM reported last year that India would need 1 million cyber security professionals by 2020, yet despite a large pool of IT professionals, a lack of skilled cyber security experts has been highlighted.
As India has administered demonetisation the demand for cyber security experts has risen. Moreover, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) further fuels the need for cyber security in the commercial world.
Job roles such as Network Security Engineer, Cyber Security Analyst, Security Architect and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) are expected to be in high demand in coming years. This demand is likely to be replicated in education, with Indian students looking globally for these fields.
