Arun Jaitley, the finance minister of India in a speech to students at the Business School of Delhi’s convocation emphasised the importance of education in growing and developing India. He urged students to set high targets for education as an educated and skilled population contributes highly to the economy and to the country’s services sector.
The service sector in India is the largest and fastest growing sector as it contributes 60% of the country’s GDP.
The government is taking active interest in making the country’s youth aware of the importance of a good education and refining their skills which will pave the way for procuring better paid jobs.
As per the Indian Students Mobility Report 2016, in 2015, the number of students from India going abroad recorded a growth of 17.8 percent.
