EURAXESS UK launch new and improved website to support international mobility for researchers around Europe

EURAXESS UK has launched a brand new website to support researchers, in the UK and beyond, to work overseas and access vital funding opportunities to continue breaking new ground within their specialist fields.

Living and working in an international context enables researchers to access a world of experiences to help them develop in their career and expand their professional networks. EURAXESS UK gives practical information to assist researchers in their transition to another country, such as guidance around applying for Visas and finding accommodation.

For researchers specifically looking to work in the UK, the new and improved EURAXESS UK site provides an online hub of job opportunities across disciplines. Clear and easy to navigate, it also provides useful advice to help researchers prepare for and settle into life in the UK.  EURAXESS UK also acts as an online gateway for UK researchers seeking to pursue their careers in Europe and strengthen their international links.

At the British Council, we have a long standing commitment to encourage scientific, technological, cultural and educational cooperation between the UK and other countries.  We support capacity building of early career researchers, helping the next generation to successfully navigate an international research landscape.

EURAXESS is a pan-European initiative, supported by 40 participating countries across Europe. The British Council manages EURAXESS UK activities to help international researchers and UK-based researchers to pursue opportunities in Europe.

The UK itself has a healthy research sector and is a world-leading research nation. According to a recent report, the UK ranks in the top five in the world for university-industry collaboration and second for the quality of its scientific and research institutions.
