The MyCOS Institute published its 2014 survey report on the employment rate of Chinese university graduates on 22 September. The employment rate of graduates majoring in architecture is the highest, while the employment rate of graduates majoring in physics is the lowest. The monthly income of graduates studying architecture is RMB4,757, the highest. The major of finance ranks second, software engineering third, and urban planning ranks fourth. Their monthly income are all above RMB4,000. The survey revealed that law, biotechnology, animation, arts, art and design and physical education are among the bottom ten less employable and lower paid subjects.
The result may have some influence on students decision on their education plan either in China or in overseas.
