Delhi University continues to rank in the world’s top 20 universities for development studies. As per the QS World University Rankings released on Tuesday 22 March 2016, Delhi University has bagged the 18th spot in development studies category, the highest achieved by any Indian institution in the sixth edition of subject specific ranking.
The other Indian institutions that have secured a rank are Indian Institute of Technology Bombay featuring for 14 subjects, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi ranking at 45 for electrical and electronics engineering and Indian Institute of Science Bangalore ranking at 47 for materials science.
The ranking are based on opinion of 76,798 academics and 44,426 employers. 28.5 million research papers and over 113 million citations sourced from the Scopus Elsevier bibliometric database were also analysed to arrive at the rankings.
