The Symbiosis International University (SIU-AIU) Conference will be held in the city of Pune, Maharashtra,India, from 9 to 10 April 2017. A Curtain Raiser in the form of a Round Table Discussion will be held on 8 April 2017.
The city of Pune, is popularly known as of “Oxford of the East” and had been in the vanguard of international education— the city has traditionally been one of the few cities to draw the most international students in India. The Conference marks the beginning of a new stage in the initiatives on Internationalisation of higher education in India. The theme of the event and the scope of its reach will make the conference an extraordinary event. It is hoped that the event will advance new dialogues around the subject areas and emerge as the wellspring of yet unexplored perspectives and opportunities.

Hosts: The collaboration between the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Symbiosis International University (SIU) for the purpose of convening this event is an opportune alliance.

The themes or topics of discussion that are a part of the conference are attached in the programme. Symbiosis International University (SIU) has requested interested UK institutions to submit occasional papers with their view point on any one of the themes focusing on a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge and analysis . The occasional paper must include the below points:
1. Title
2. Author name (and institutional affiliation)
3. Abstract (approximately 300 words)
4. Key words (3 to 5)
5. Main text
6. References

Symbiosis International University has suggested to use headings and sub-headings to mark sections and add visual details such as diagrams and tables in the paper. The paper should be restricted to word limit of 3,000 to 5,000 words (excluding abstract, key words, and references).
