India HRD Minister Smriti Irani and the Australian Minister for Education and Training Christopher Pyne have signed MoU to strengthen existing partnerships in the education sector by committing up to AUS$ one million.

With the help of the MOU – both governments are investing to strengthen higher education and research in technical, professional education, schools, vocational education and training.

The MoU has been approved by India’s Cabinet Union last week and this will create more opportunities between the two countries for partnerships and collaborations on the education front.

This points towards a climate that is keen on international education partnerships in India.  The country is expanding its education portfolio and is proactively seeking foreign collaborations and hence this becomes a good occasion for UK institutions to expand their international partnership alliances.
