As part of a continuing commitment to the British Council’s mission and to ensure maximum impact for our programmes, the British Council USA will close our office in New York and transfer operations to Washington, DC. By consolidating our premises to a single location we will ensure that we continue to retain the strong partnerships that our team built in New York in recent years and continue to reach thousands of people across the USA through our programmes.

We expect to announce our new team in early April and the transition process will be complete by the end of May 2017.

British Council activities at NAFSA and other announced activities will continue as planned. We look forward to continuing to work with you on innovative programmes that raise the profile of the UK and support your activities in the US.
