Recent news reports show Bangladesh moving two notches up in competitiveness as per the recent Global Competitiveness Report 2015-16 by World Economic Forum. This has been attributed to better performance in Basic Requirements: institutions, infrastructure, macroeconomic environment, health and primary education. The World Economic Forum made the report along with local partner Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) on 140 countries after evaluating 12 different issues. In spite of a continued lack in innovation, efficiency and skill, Bangladesh now stands at 107 of the 140 countries reviewed. Read the original news article here
