The University Of Jeddah (UJ) KSA is looking for partnership opportunities

Back ground,
The University Of Jeddah (UJ) in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia would like to express their interest in dealing with a UK university on one of their capacity building project, for their employs to ensure the success of its students and researchers.
Objectives, UJ is looking to have a collaboration project with an international expertise focusing on building the capacity capabilities for Students and researchers with the following objectives:
 Promote the scientific capabilities of UJ faculty members
 joint supervision for PHD (Professional Development of UJ faculty members)
One key to providing students with the highest standards of education is:
1. The professional development of UJ faculty members. In this respect, UJ need to start a joint supervision program (JSP) to cater for the need of several qualified female university lecturers who cannot pursue their studies abroad due to their social or familial constraints. The role of such a program is to help them achieve their goals and fulfil their ambitions addressed at carrying on their research without compromising academic quality, which will ultimately benefit UJ students.
 UJ need to provide opportunities to female lecturers at UJ to pursue their PhD studies from prestigious British universities without the need to travel abroad as candidates would typically do under full scholarship programs.
 UJ wishes to collaborate with a number of British Universities that could provide a principle external supervisor at the British university and a local co-supervisor here at UJ.
 All qualified candidates from UJ female teaching faculty will be provided with up-to-date laboratories and whatever is required to conduct research projects locally.
 In addition, UJ have sophisticated video conference facilities to facilitate their communication with their supervisors. All candidates should take the full range of specific courses pertinent to their fields of specialisation as recommended by both supervisors, and candidates should also attend seminars, conferences, and lectures in these fields.
 UJ candidates are obliged to attend different workshops and courses as recommended such as, data statistical analysis, research methodology, academic writing, and referencing citation.
 Correspondence between UJ students and their external supervisors can be executed through all means of telecommunication including video conferences and e-mail.
 All other arrangements can be discussed later on.

2. Promote the scientific capabilities of UJ faculty members and with this in mind UJ would like to increase the scientific collaboration between UJ faculty and top universities around the world. One of UJ priority interests is the British universities that have a similar desire to initiate a scientific research joint venture program (SRJVP) with UJ.
 Through the (SRJVP), UJ faculty members will be able to collaborate in different research fields with their British partners at British universities in order to share their knowledge and to benefit from the high standards of research in the UK.
