University of Economics and Law seeks UK partners for dual degrees in Business areas

University of Economics and Law (UEL) is looking for UK partners to deliver dual degrees in Business areas including External relations, International Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Economics and Law areas including Business Law, Economic Law,  Finance and Banking Law. The programmes are expected to be fully delivered in Vietnam in 4 years.

Upon successful completion of the programmes, students should receive two separate Bachelor’s degrees awarded by UEL and UK partner for the same major.

Benefits for UK partners:

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partner to establish a long-term partnership with University of Economics and Law, a university member of Vietnam National University in HCMC.This partnership can be expanded to other joint research, co-supervision, student  and faculty exchange programmes in the future with UEL.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating partners:

The selected UK partner will be expected to work with UEL to:

  • contribute to the curriculum design of the programme(s)
  • provide teachers to teach the programme(s) in Vietnam
  • provide teacher training to the Vietnamese teachers before the start of the programme(s)
  • provide quality assurance for the joint programme(s).
  • issue a bachelor’s degree to students who successfully complete the programme.

University of Economics and Law will be responsible for:

  • provide the qualified teaching staff
  • provide the teaching premises for the programme(s)
  • promote the programme(s) and recruit students

About University of Economics & Law:

University of Economics and Law (UEL) is a member of Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). The university was founded in 2010, formerly known as Faculty of Economics under direct authority of VNU-HCM.

Currently, the University has more than 7000 full-time students, and more than 500 full-time teaching staff. The university offers 15 undergraduate, 8 master and 4 doctorate training programmes in the fields of Economics and Law.

UEL is a higher education institution as well as scientific research and technology transfer centre with high quality in the fields of economics, law and management in response to the demands of socio-economic development in the process of industrialisation, modernisation and global integration in Vietnam.

Timeline
University of Economics and Law would like to select partners by October 2017, and finalise agreements by the end of 2017.
