Thessaloniki as an international hub for education conference, 20 March 2014
Within the framework of Thessaloniki being the European Youth Capital in 2014 and in collaboration with the Municipality on Thessaloniki and other local partners, we organise a one day IHE policy dialogue conference. The aims of the conference are to present the Greek reality with emphasis on Thessaloniki, identify the obstacles and the ways to overcome them in facilitating the influx of foreign students to Greece and present good practices from the UK and other countries as well as global developments and trends. The conference will conclude with a roundtable discussion with state and government representatives. The conference will bring together representatives of the academic and entrepreneurial local community, as well as representatives from other institutions active in the field of education in Greece, the UK and other countries. This policy dialogue event aims at reinforcing connections between Greek and UK HEIs and encourages interest for new collaborations.
