Scholarships for Women in STEM: call for UK higher education host institutions (Call now closed)

UK higher education and research institutions that wish to participate as host institutions for the British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM are invited to submit an expression of interest. This is an excellent of opportunity for UK institutions to attract talented female students from around the world and narrow the gender gap in STEM fields.

The British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM support women from eligible countries to develop their academic skills in the UK.

Two types of opportunity are available:

  • Funding for Master’s degree scholarships
  • Funding for Early Academic Fellowship opportunities (S. Asia and E. Asia only)

Eligibility
UK higher education and research institutions, with a commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), who wish to host Master’s Scholars and/or recent PhD graduates.

Deadline
Friday 28 October 2022 (16.00 UK time).

How to apply
Please read the Call for Proposals document carefully. To apply please complete the following steps by Friday 28 October 2022 (16.00 UK time):

  1. Submit the online expression of interest form
  2. Send relevant application documents to womeninstem.HEPs@britishcouncil.org
