British Council’s Services for International Education Marketing (SIEM) in Pakistan is creating the Study UK Scholarship Booklet specifically for Pakistani students. Scholarships are a key deciding factor for students in Pakistan when considering higher education overseas. This booklet will highlight the vast array of scholarships and bursaries on offer for students considering UK for higher studies and provide an easy search guide for both general UK scholarships and bursaries as well as departmental/university level scholarships and bursaries on offer to students from Pakistan specifically or more generally for international students.

Promotional and marketing plan for the Scholarship Booklet

• The booklets will be available for students to download online, free of cost
• 5000 hard copies of the Scholarship Booklet 2018 will be produced and distributed during major events of the British Council

The Study UK Scholarship Booklet will be promoted through our web and social media platforms, these include:

• Study UK Facebook page
• British Council Pakistan Facebook pages
• British Council Pakistan website
• British Council Pakistan Twitter
• British Council libraries in Lahore and Karachi
• Direct Mailers: - Branded email - shots to all potential students in our databases in Pakistan who are interested in studying in the UK. The database includes schools and universities career counsellors, principals, department heads and other key influencers

Scholarship Booklet 2018 will be distributed at:

1. All forthcoming major events by the British Council in Pakistan, these includes:
   •  Study UK Exhibition Tour
   • Counsellors’ Symposium
   • Agents’ Trainings
   • School Missions
2. Agents’ offices
3. Key schools, colleges and universities as well as other educational institutions in Pakistan
4. Copies will be available at the British Council libraries based in Karachi and Lahore, Pakistan. Students/visitors coming to the libraries will have easy access to the booklet and can keep a copy of it on request

Benefits to UK Institutions

1. Direct engagement with target audiences: Through scholarship listing and advertising in the booklet, participating institutions will have the opportunity to reach out to prospective UK students. This will facilitate the UK educational institutions to increase their brand awareness among not only the students of Pakistan but also, student influencers, school counsellors, career advisers and educational institution leaders.

2. Access to multiple distribution channels: Scholarship Booklet will be available online and will be promoted through British Council’s web and social media channels. These will be promoted all year round during British Council exhibitions, agents’ and counsellors’ workshops/trainings and other British Council events.

3.  Cost Effective: Institutions can list as many scholarships which are open for the students of Pakistan and international students at completely free of cost.
