Qatar University students' Study Tour

British Council SIEM Qatar would like to collate interest of UK Higher Education Institutions in hosting a group of 15-20 female students currently enrolled at Year 3 and Year 4 undergraduate programme at Qatar University.

The objective of the one-week tour is to introduce potential students to life in the UK and the different postgraduate options available to them through scoping visits to institutions as well as attending/shadowing some specific classes run by the institutions about leadership &/or entrepreneurship to enhance their skill in this field.

Target institutions
Higher Education

Target qualifications:
Postgraduate / Masters

Proposed tour dates:
4th – 10th February 2018 (7 days).

Anticipated benefits to UK institutions:
• Profile raising through:
o Getting directly exposed to 15-20 potential students and 2 influencers
o Featuring the trip and institutions on social media platforms of both QU and British Council through in-country press coverage and a digital campaign
o Social media feature by participating students
• Students recruitment

Expectations from UK institutions:
In addition to service fees, institutions will also be expected to plan and manage the day visit to meet its objective mentioned above and to offer light snacks and lunch (dinner is optional) – all food must be halal. Institutions are expected to host the group between 10am to 3 or 4pm.

Estimated service fees per institution:
650£ – 850£ + VAT (exact fees to be confirmed after confirming feasibility of the tour W/B 30th October)
