Potential partnerships in Sri Lanka to deliver courses in UG and PG levels

British Council Sri Lanka invites expression of interests (EOI) from UK HEIs interested in potential partnerships in Sri Lanka to deliver courses in UG and PG levels.

There is an extraordinary growth in transnational education in Sri Lanka with more than 10,000 students studying for a wide range of foreign qualifications in country. This initiation is fully supported and endorsed by the government as the TNE development in Sri Lanka falls under their vision of making Sri Lanka a knowledge hub in South Asia.

TNE provides access to a UK qualification for a wider range of students than traditional methods can reach, and meet goals of increasing access. This has allowed UK institutions to tap into new markets which can be defined as new emerging middle class in country and third nationals who are drawn to educational hubs due to the number of UK qualifications on offer.

Aims of the activity:

British Council Sri Lanka has initiated and supported a number of successful partnerships in the past and would like to continue supporting the reputed local educational institutes and UK HEIs to form collaborations.
