Opportunity to conduct research focusing on UK approaches to supporting disabled people’s inclusion in skills development and employment

British Council invites proposals to extend research conducted in 2017 on the UK's approaches to supporting disabled people’s inclusion in skills development and employment. The second phase of research will focus on learner voice and pathways to employment.

The proposed research will build on previous research to:
• provide an overview of successful UK approaches to ensuring good vocational learning outcomes associated with meaningful employment for disabled people that are relevant to a wide range of contexts. Where applicable, it should provide recommendations on how these approaches could be successfully adapted in other country contexts.
• gather case study examples of the UK good practices in delivering good vocational learning outcomes for disabled people. This should include examples from a range of organisations working across the skills sector, including further education colleges, work-based learning providers or other organisations that support these outcomes such as employer or community organisations.

The work must be completed by 31 March 2018. For more information please contact carina.kanbi@britishcouncil.org
