The UK-Russia University Alliance programme aims to support early career researchers’ mobility and internationalisation of Higher Education and research. We believe that international collaboration and joint publications will increase the career prospects of early career researchers.

Our objective is to support Russian early career researchers through providing an online course to improve their academic writing skills and presentation skills, enabling them to publish in international journals and deliver quality public presentations in English. Skills development for writing appealing bids for funding can be considered as well.

Courses to be delivered online between 1 December 2020 and 28 February 2021

In brief:

A short online course, delivered in English focused on improving academic writing and presentation skills:

• 10 hours (minimum) course of group contact time. This could be delivered over 2 - 4 weeks or upon proposal suggestion for example, two sessions to set out course, time to complete work and two sessions to review and complete
• 1 x 1-hour one-to-one review tutorial start of course
• 1 x 1-hour one-to one post course follow-up meeting
• Certified on completion
