The British Council, working closely with the Department for International Trade, Department for Education, UUKi, UKRI, the SIN network and the Devolved Administrations, is organising a delegation of UK University Vice-Chancellors and senior leaders to India from 6-10 June 2022. The delegation will be led by the UK’s International Education Champion, Sir Steve Smith, and is intended to:

  • provide facetime with Indian government, sector and industry leadership.
  • develop knowledge of the opportunities for UK HE collaboration with Indian partners.
  • And facilitate concrete TNE and research partnerships, with a particular focus on the northern Indian states, West Bengal, Karnataka and Gujarat.

More information on the structure and intended outcomes of this visit is available here.

British Council India and DIT will also be hosting a virtual briefing session for those preparing an Expression of Interest. This will take place on Tuesday 19 April from 9 – 9:45 am UKT.
