The British Council China is inviting UK universities to join the China Employability Forum and Alumni Reception from 5 to 6 December 2024 in Beijing, China.

Overview

The event will provide UK universities and alumni with insights into the rapidly changing operating environment, evolving policies, and the latest trends in the job markets in China.

Employability forum

13.00-16.30, Thursday 5th December 2024

The forum aims to:

• provide UK universities with the latest trends and updates on the job market, policy, and changes in China.
• foster dialogue between academia and industry and empower alumni in the global job market.  
• discuss effective models for international collaborations including the best practice for collaborations between employers and UK HEIs.

Alumni reception

19.00-21.00, Thursday 5th December 2024

The alumni reception will present an opportunity for UK universities to engage with their alumni and key education stakeholders and partners.

Industry and business visit

13.00-16.30, Friday 6th December 2024

The visit is arranged for UK universities to closely connect with well-known companies and industries in China, discuss and exchange views on employability and talent development, and potentially discover areas for collaboration.
