British Council India requests UK institutions to invite their alumni associations in India to participate in the ‘Alumni Association Honours’, an award to recognise the fantastic work being done by the UK Alumni associations across the country.

We invite them to participate in this programme and showcase best practice to their peers across alumni associations nationally. This is an excellent opportunity for alumni associations to:

• Build association’s reputation and membership through showcasing of the good work done over the years.
• Professionalise their chapter’s operation and impact as they create an association portfolio.
• Expand their network, to learning from others, build portfolio and create ambitious engagement plans for their chapters.
• Enjoy the recognition their association deserves for the innovative and impactful work they have done.
• Multiply their impact and build long-term relationships with local influencers.
• Build the UK’s reputation and support the UK’s mobility ambitions in India upholding its brand and positive influence in the world.

Timelines

• Programme Announced: 15 July 2022.
• Briefing session 1 for interested alumni associations: August 2022
• Briefing session 2 for interested alumni associations: September 2022
• Forms open for submissions: October 2022 to 15 January 2023
• Evaluation: January 2023
• Announcement: January/ February 2023 
• Ceremony and prizes awarded: March 2023, along with annual STUDY UK alumni awards.
