Informative sessions - English Language Teacher Training at UNESP, Brazil

São Paulo State University (Unesp) and British Council host three informative sessions about the mobility programme to Brazil “English Language Teacher Training at UNESP”. The sessions will take place in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh.

This exciting opportunity offers a grant to Graduate students in English Language Teaching who wish to do a portion of their research project at UNESP. Applicants can stay for 10 or 5 months in Brazil.Students will receive a monthly scholarship to cover subsistence costs, plus a travel grant for the purchase of airfare.

Selected candidates will be enrolled as exchange students in a PhD program at Unesp, and will be co-supervised by researchers from the Language Departments. They will be developing research and teacher training activities on a full time basis in one of Unesp’s campuses: Araraquara, Assis, Bauru, Botucatu, Guaratinguetá, Ilha Solteira, Jaboticabal, Presidente Prudente, Rio Claro, São José dos Campos, and Sorocaba, located at the State of São Paulo, Brazil.

Event aims and objectives

The activity will introduce the São Paulo State University (Unesp), provide information about the mobility programme, and its application process. In the end, there will be a Q&A session.

Action Required

These sessions are for International Relations Office staff, Heads of Department of English and Linguistics and International Relations staff at School of English. There are no fees to attend the event. However venues have limited capacity: 40 in London, 30 in Manchester, and 30 in Edinburgh.
