Opportunity

Hubei University of Education (HUE), located in Wuhan, is looking for UK partners to develop 3+1 or 4+0 undergraduate joint programmes and/or articulation arrangement with double or single degree in the fields of electronic engineering, visual communication design, environmental design, animation, advertising and physical education, with the aim of recruiting up to 100 students per year for each major.

This is an opportunity for UK partners to establish long-term partnerships with one of the teacher education universities in Wuhan, central China, with potential for expansion into other fields, such as student and faculty exchange programmes or joint research.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The UK partner will be expected to work with Chinese University to:

• develop the curricula for the joint programme
• provide support in the quality assurance of the programme
• provide qualified teaching staff for the joint programme
• provide academic and language training for HUE programme teacher
• award bachelor’s degree to students

Chinese University will be responsible for:

• promoting and recruiting students for the programme
• providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint programme
• providing on-campus accommodation and office facilities, and help with entry visas for management and teaching staff from
• awarding bachelor’s degree to students
• providing daily management and teaching management to ensure teaching quality; selecting and dispatching programme teacher to get training in UK partner university
• supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK as part of the programme

Hubei University of Education (HUE), situated in Wuhan, is offering multi-disciplinary programmes for over 17,000 full time students.
