Following the successes of previously held GREAT UK-India career summits in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, where we managed to create job opportunities to 28 alumni, British Council is organising another Career Summit in Bangalore this year. The event will present an opportunity for you as well as your alumni to connect with leading corporates in the Indian market. 

The career summit will be held in Bangalore on Thursday 16 February at Vivanta by Taj, 41/3 M.G. Road from 08.30-16.00 hours. 

UK Institutions are requested to inform their alumni in India about the programme (details given below) and encourage them to attend.

About the Career Summit

The Career Summit is a platform for UK Alumni, eager to build their careers in India, to network with leading corporates through interviews and personal interactions. These graduates would be a mix of recently returned graduates as well as experienced UK alumni. The objective of the summit is to support UK alumni in their professional progress and to showcase the excellence of a UK education and related career prospects it offers students in India.

Capita, Indegene, Mindtree, Shell, AXA Business Services and Talisman Telecom are some corporates that have confirmed their participation for the Summit in Bangalore. We are expecting at least 20 corporates to participate at the summit.

The British Council previously organised the Career Summit in Delhi. Format of the Event

The Summit on 16 February will be a day-long event in an exhibition format with two main functions:      

• Networking – Open to all Alumni and representatives of universities for networking with the corporates. The timings are 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Interviews - Shortlisted alumni to be interviewed for jobs advertised by corporates – 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
