Expressions of Interest for International Student Mobility to and from Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, India

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is designated as an Institute of National Importance by the Indian parliament and was ranked 4th in India and the Top 800 globally by the Times World University Rankings 2021. It is recognised for its innovative and flexible curriculum, student-centric focus, interdisciplinarity and internationalisation. 40% of IITGN undergraduate students receive international exposure while studying at IITGN. Home to high impact cutting edge research, the institute has excellent research facilities and seven interdisciplinary centres in Archaeological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Design and Innovation, Safety Engineering, Cognitive and Brain Sciences, Sustainable Development and a Centre for Creative Learning. Research is introduced at the undergraduate level with students encouraged to pursue summer research projects in and outside the country.

IITGN is keen to expand its international footprint and is interested in developing institutional partnerships for student, faculty and research exchanges. We seek to encourage international student mobility in both directions, especially through semester exchanges, summer schools, internships and projects. We invite expressions of interest from UK universities to partner with IITGN and develop student mobility programmes targeting undergraduate and graduate students that are - short or long duration, bring value to the student and are cost-effective or cost neutral. IITGN has excellent infrastructure facilities to accommodate students at minimal or no cost in a well-developed culturally exciting city that is also safe and friendly.
