EU country learning sessions for colleagues at international offices: Germany
The British Council EU Higher Education team invites representatives from UK higher education institution international offices to attend the EU country learning sessions webinar on Germany. The session is designed to support international offices with their recruitment activity by giving insight into the German landscape.
It is part of a series in which each webinar focuses on a different EU country. Sessions are brought to you by British Council colleagues on the ground across Europe.
The series continues with Germany on Monday 16 January, 14:00 - 15:00 UK time.
The session will be presented by the British Council’s Head of Education in Germany, Ailsa Kienberger, and the Education Manager, Martin Spiess.
It will cover the following topics:
- Short introduction to the British Council's work in Germany
- Overview of the education system(s) in Germany
- Reactions to EU Exit
- Domestic funding opportunities
- Germany as a competitor
- Mobility abroad
- Results of recent focus groups with school counsellors and students in Germany
There will also be time to answer any questions.
