British Council Libya is managing a 6-month UK Study Programme for the Libyan Ministry of Planning and is seeking UK English language schools/providers to offer the training. Details of the Ministry's requirements are as follows.

* Up to 5 employees of the Ministry will be taking part in the programme but will be attending different schools.

* The Ministry requires regular reports highlighting progress and any issues with attendance, participation, etc.

* The Ministry has requested a social programme with regular extra-curricular activities and trips to various places of interest.

* Native English speaking Islamic-friendly host families experienced in hosting foreign students will be necessary. Participants will require breakfast and evening meals and accommodation should be walking distance from the school or on a regular bus route. At the beginning and end of the programme airport transfers will be necessary.

* Students should be registered with a local doctor and the local police, provided with travel insurance, set up with UK bank accounts and given access to a welfare officer.
