The Education UK Alumni Awards celebrate the achievements of international alumni who have studied at UK universities in the last ten years. The awards honour the outstanding achievements made by business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders. Finalists are able to demonstrate how their UK education has impacted on their subsequent success, and positively contributed to their community, industry, and country .

There are three award categories:
• Professional Achievement Award – recognising UK alumni who have distinguished themselves through exemplary leadership and achievements in their professional industry
• Entrepreneurial Award – recognising UK alumni who are active in initiating or contributing to innovative new business opportunities that have the potential for strong growth
• Social Impact Award – recognising UK alumni who have made an exceptional contribution and commitment to creating positive social change and improving the lives of others

WHO CAN APPLY?
The Education UK Alumni Awards 2016 are open to individuals who are
• residing in Pakistan, or one of the other ten participating countries (see website below for further details).
• alumni of a recognised UK higher education institution* who studied at this institution for a minimum of one term/semester within the past ten years (i.e. in/from 2005 or later).

Applications have opened for the awards and close by 31 October 2015. Reviewing and shortlisting will take place in November and December 2015.
Applicants will be informed of the status of their application by late December 2015/January 2016. The winners will be announced in February 2016 at a high profile awards ceremony with leaders from government, industry and education present, as well as other outstanding UK alumni.

Both the finalists and the winners will become a part of an international Education UK Alumni Awards Network. Selection as a finalist or winner will also raise the alumni’s international profile, expand their networks, and enhance their careers.
