Presidency University, a renowned two hundred year old public funded higher education institution in Kolkata, is starting a new school on public policy and is looking for collaboration with relevant departments of UK higher education institutions.

The collaboration could be through curriculum development, academic visit, student internship, and related.

Presidency University has MoUs and active programmes with multiple universities abroad, including University of Cambridge, SOAS, East Anglia, in UK; Gronningen, (Netherlands); Waseda, Hiroshima University,(Japan) Georgia State, (USA) Science Po (France), NUS, Singapore for student and faculty exchange in various fields.

Presidency University is going to open five new schools of study, amongst which is the school of public policy.

As an academic discipline, public policy brings in elements of all the social science fields and concepts with program evaluation, policy analysis and public management to problems of governmental administration. However, the study of public policy is distinct in its focus on the application of theory to practice.  Presidency University would like to develop both, policy theories and policy practices and have a better construction on solid ethical foundations.
