Call for proposals - SIEM Conference 2016

We are delighted to announce that content submissions for the fifth British Council Services for International Education Marketing (SIEM) conference are now open.

The event, which is taking place at the Belfast Waterfront Conference Centre on the 8-9 December 2016, will address a broad spectrum of themes relating to international student recruitment, marketing and internationalisation including:

  • Our position in an increasingly competitive landscape: winning back market share the for UK
  • Connecting with prospective international students worldwide: Innovative recruitment channels including partnerships and digital
  • External influences on international student recruitment and mobility: cutting edge analysis to inform and future proof international marketing strategies

We are keen to profile content from a wide base of practitioners including British Council staff, sector representatives and experts from other industries.  So if you would like to feature in the programme, either on your own or in collaboration with other practitioners, then please submit a proposal.  Selection criteria is based on relevance to the themes, originality of content and experience/credentials of speakers.   If your session is selected then we will offer to cover travel and accommodation costs, as well as a free conference pass for the full day of your session.

If you choose not to submit a proposal but would like to offer feedback on the kind of content you would like to see then you are more than welcome.
