SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) MOOC Platform was developed indigenously by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) under the aegis of the Ministry of Education in 2016 to facilitate the hosting of online courses which could be accessed by anyone, anywhere at any time free of cost to address access, equity, and quality. SWAYAM one of the World’s biggest Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) integrated platform of free online courses, covers subjects from high school onwards to higher education including Skill based courses to ensure that every student is benefitted.

British Council is seeking proposals from the UK HEPs interested in hosting free online courses on the SWAYAM portal. All proposals received through this open call will be reviewed by AICTE for approval and subsequently uploaded on SWAYAM. UK HEPs will benefit from reaching out to 20mn learners and providing an experience to the Indian learners about UK Education.
