Call for international collaborations from International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) , Mumbai
The International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) provides sports management education in India. It was founded by a former international test cricketer, Nilesh Kulkarni. It is a seven-year-old institute and is affiliated to the prestigious Mumbai University for the purpose of awarding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
Terms of Reference
IISM (http://www.iismworld.com/ ), Mumbai, India wants to collaborate on the following:-
a) Joint Research Programme
Objectives:
1. To initiate strategic research activities like dissertations / projects in the field of Sports Management.
2. To offer International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) students robust learning in the field of research in sports management.
b) Faculty Exchange Programmes
The faculty exchange programmes would provide participants with the opportunity to teach or conduct research for a period of time. A faculty exchange program is one way to take advantage of the benefits of a diverse faculty .
c) Student Exchange Programmes
Student exchanges would aim at helping to increase the participants' understanding of other cultures, as well as broadening their social horizons. An exchange student may stay in the host country for a short period of time, about 8 to 12 weeks. Some students on exchange programs can receive academic credit from the country they study in.
Objectives
* To enhance the educational experience of student
* To strengthen the networking between students and Universities
* Broaden personal and educational perspectives
d) Indo-UK Indo - UK Sport Forum/Summit/ Conference
There is a proposal where IISM can host and conduct an Indo-UK Sport Forum/Summit/ Conference where delegates from across the Sports Industry would be invited.
