Call for expressions of interest in evaluating British Council English for Success project in Kazakhstan

The British Council would like to invite expressions of interest regarding the delivery of a consultancy exercise to evaluate its English for Success Project in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan. Please see the attachment for more information.

Background
English for Success is a two-year project delivered by the British Council Kazakhstan and the University of Leicester which aims to build the capacity of schools and higher educational institutes to teach both English language and STEM subjects through the medium of English. Central to this has been a professional development programme delivered to 180 teachers of English and STEM subjects. The project was launched at the start of 2019 and is in the final stages of delivery. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic most recent project activity has been delivered remotely.


Consultancy
The British Council require an evaluation consultant to measure the impact of the “English for Success” project and identify areas of success and learning in the project to date, as well as to review an evaluation framework and related set of evaluation tools which can be used to assess the impact of the project in the classroom.

Interested applicants should submit the following to Ardak Bekturova - ardak.bekturova@kz.britishcouncil.org by COB 10 October:

  • A full CV in English highlighting relevant previous experience and including the names of two referees
  • 2 examples of previous work relevant to this consultancy
  • Details of the cost of services (expressed as a consultancy fee per day, and stating clearly whether this is inclusive or exclusive of VAT)
