UK universities are invited to submit expressions of interests to partner with BMKG PhD Scholarship to host selected PhD scholars who will be fully funded by BMKG.
BMKG is the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia, a non-departmental government body. It has over two thousand staff across 185 offices and weather observation stations. Its mission is to coordinate, observe, collect, and provide reliable data on atmospheric, climate, and geophysics phenomenon, as well as to foster collaboration with international partners. BMKG is a member of World Meteorological Organisation. BMKG Scholarship is a full scholarship for BMKG staff and scientists/researchers to study PhD at overseas universities. There are 500 scholarships available between 2023 and 2030.

Interested UK universities must submit Expression of Interest (EoI) by 28 February 2023. EoI (maximum 10 pages) must cover all seven items as follows:
- Cover letter
- Brief profile of university and department/college
- List of PhD supervisors and their research focus. Link to their profile/biography must be included.
- Enrolment requirements, start date (intake), length of study
- Total tuition fees for the whole PhD duration
- Other costs for BMKG’s consideration such as accommodation costs, standard living allowances, NHS surcharges, pre-sessional English course, any other related costs
- Contact details.
