British Council invites tenders from UK based Further Education Colleges & Universities to deliver online employability courses in the Gulf Region

What is the Gulf-UK Alumni Network?

The Gulf-UK Alumni Network is part of the Integrated Activity Fund programmes in the Gulf. The project established Gulf-wide UK alumni network. This is an important programme in the UK’s partnership with Gulf States, focusing on strengthening the UK’s people-to-people links with emerging leaders.

Since the start of the programme a network of 5000 UK alumni in the Gulf has been set up. The network is spread across the six Gulf countries and across many professional  sectors. The network members are ambassadors for UK education and can help to inspire the next generation.

The opportunity

We have a great opportunity to partner with a UK Further Education College, University or other relevant organisations to deliver a series of online interactive courses to the network. Following a recent survey of the network members the main areas for development includes; employability skills, professional development, entrepreneurial skills, leadership and confidence building skills.

This is particularly suitable for institutions that have experience in delivering similar courses and wish to work with next generation leaders in the Gulf.
