Vietnam seeks ways to improve quality of education

Cabinet members convened a meeting to identify specific measures to improve the education system in Vietnam with an aim to bring it to an advanced level by 2030.

A series of educational issues and proposals put forward for discussion include eliminating the high school graduation exam, encouraging private investment in education, adjusting the basic education to reduce e.g. the high school level to two instead of three years, and to allow students to switch to vocational routes or pursue other types of training other than going to university after graduation, reported Vietnam Times.
