Updates: Recognition of the UK Law Degrees and Foundation Studies in Malaysia for the Purpose of CLP Examination

Recently, Legal Profession Qualifying Board (LPQB), Malaysia has decided to review the list of current recognized Law degrees from the UK as part of their quality control exercise. Having said that, they will not be actively seeking to expanding the list of recognized UK universities, but they are happy to consider new addition should there be any requests from the law schools in the UK. The documents required for submission to LPQB is as attached. The general email address for submission is admin@lpqb.org.my.

On another note, the LPQB Board made an announcement that foundation programmes are accepted to fulfil the requirement for STPM or its equivalent, provided that the foundation programme has been accredited by the Malaysian Qualifying Agency (MQA). Foundation programme not accredited by the MQA will not be accepted as fulfilling the said requirement.
