Universidade de São Paul opens offices abroad

USP (Universidade de São Paulo) will have offices in Boston, London and Singapore. The objective of these offices is to organise and welcome symposiums and meetings to spread the scientific production from the number one institution in Brazil.

USP reported that the units will work as support for partnerships and attendances to teachers and students. “The objective of international offices is to reorganise and welcome symposiums and meetings that spread the scientific production of the institution”, says the report.

It is also planned an increase in the number of scholarships for students and researches that want to spend a period in USP. The number of benefits will depend on the interest showed by the units, and it will have an increase in the number of scholarships for teachers and students from USP that wants do act abroad for a while too.

The programme will lasts one year, the last year of the actual Vice Chancellor management. After, there will be deploying a second phase, of four-years duration, that will depend on the next Vice Chancellor’s decisions. Reports Universo On Line - Educação
