After 6 months of work between UK and Spanish stakeholders, a workshop and conference will take place in Madrid on 27 and 28 February to present the results of a mapping of BTEC levels 3 to 5 qualifications, ND to HND, to Spanish similar qualifications, FP Grado Medio and FP Grado Superior. 

This should facilitate mobility programmes between both countries as well as the introduction of UK vocational qualifications in Spain.

Authorities from all 17 regional Governments will attend the conference.  A paper will be produced with recommendations to both countries and we hope this will be the beginning of a larger mobility programme/policy for students and teachers, under Erasmus for all or Structural Funds for Employability/Mobility programmes.
