One of these two projects, according to the online Saigon Economics Times, called Saigon Silicon City to be built on an area of 52 hectares in the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) has been licensed. The project has an investment capital of 40 million USD with main investor being a Vietnamese American.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University will also build the Millennium Park on 22.7ha park with the investment capital of 41.6 million USD. The project includes building nursery gardens, scientific areas and agricultural fields. This was the third project of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in SHTP, besides technology development and training centres, and was expected to be operational by early 2017.
