Taiwan University of Education (TUE), formed by Taipei Municipal University of Education, National Taichung University of Education and National Pingtung University of Education, was launched on 6 June 2012.

These four universities will jointly recruit students, provide joint degrees and courses, as well as integrate teaching resources. TUE aims to take on the role of the second placed think tank in Taiwan in the area of education.

The principal of TUE, Dr. Wu, expressed that in the future he would like to invite the other five universities engaged in education into this group.
