A cabinet re-shuffle was recently conducted at the Sri Lankan Presidential Secretariat appointing 9 new ministerial portfolios.

Hon. Kabir Hashim has being appointed as the Minister for Higher Education and Highways.

The minister is a Consultant Economist by profession and previously served as the Minister of Public Enterprise Development. He has previously held the post of Minister of Higher Education during various time periods.
